Panzer Tracts 4-3 里明确了这一点:
On 24 May 1944 it was decided” the changeto plain bearing is final. The use of roller bearing in no longer considered.”Return-roller mounting with plain bearing were introduced in October 1944. Onlythe complete plain bearing return roller with mounting was exchangeable with theroller bearing return roller with mounting.
从1944年其10月,托带轮的轴承从滚子轴承换成了滑动轴承,
另外PT里也提到了基座的更换:
A simplifiedwelded return roller mount was partially introduced as of September 1944, thischange was not fully carried out by the end of war.
由于四号J型的生产开始于1944年2月,因此1944年 9月以后生产的四号底盘,应有部分四号J型换装了此类简化焊接基座。而四号J型的托带轮从四个减少到三个开始于1944年12月,因此推测三个托带轮的四号J型应该也有部分使用了此类简化焊接基座。
两种基座见图(感谢RochmCheng的援助):下图为铸造基座,我推测此类基座自四号A型一直使用到J型(不过我不确定)
